Home Connect App

It seems the Home Connect app for Bosch appliances continues to be extremely unreliable and not user friendly. Trying to send invites to family members goes nowhere. Is there chance that this could be fixed? This such a frustrating experience.

Bridging Matter devices with HomeKit - random & unreliable it’s clear that HomeKit is not fully compatible with the Matter ecosystem. There have been a number of threads on this (incl Philips Hue, Hive, Eve) none has found a resolution. It seems random as to whether you are lucky and get your hub to pair. I have three hubs that should all be able to pair with HomeKit: Philips Hue, Hive and Powerview. Up until this week the Hue & Hive hubs were happily bridged with HomeKit. I had spent the past month trying to add the Powerview hub, and had been in touch with Hunter Douglas support, following every piece of guidance but still got an “incorrect setup code” error. I thought the Powerview hub must be faulty as Hive (which I’ve been using for years) & Hue (setup just last month) both worked okay. Then on Thursday my Hive hub went on the blink and I replaced it on Friday. And the new Hive hub will not bridge to HomeKit and returns the same “incorrect setup code” error message as the Powerview. I’ve Googled the s**t out of this issue and it’s obvious the issue lies with Apple. Yes I know the wifi needs to be 2.4ghz, make sure software & firmware is latest version, reboot router and every other device. I’ve deleted & reinstalled the apps, removed and added hubs back to their native apps. And still… I think most users give up trying to add to Home and just use the native app to access/control their devices. Or perhaps buy an Alexa, and give up on Siri. Apple needs to sort this out.

Home kit failed to add accessories after update The only recent change in my him eco system is the recent update to apples HomeKit. I have a smart switch that I had paired to my house that I was using for test programming automations and it worked fine… fast-forward to today and I have more smart switches to install… and they don’t adopt to the system… confirming I’m using my 2.4 IOT wifi account: check confirming I have power and device’s in adopt: check waiting the entire time for system to time out on its own: check x 3 times try again to load my “test” switch first answer “already an accessory” remove “test switch” and attempt re-adopt… system fails to adopt unit, asks if I want to continue the device ID wifi or go cellular data, click for device and waiting till it times out…. NO ADOPTION OF NEW (precisely old) DEVICE!!!!!! any one els having this issue with HomeKit or is it just me????

MyQ Home Hub showing “no response” in home kit I have had a chamberlain myQ garage door opener along with the chamberlain myQ home hub fir HomeKit working flawlessly for two years. About a week ago it switched to showing no response. In the myQ app the door and hub show up and work as expected. All of my other HomeKit accessories are working properly. I have deleted the garage door from HomeKit, deleted them from the MyQ app as well and went through the entire setup process again. It briefly showed up in HomeKit again but within 5 minutes or less, it switched back to no response. I unplugged and replugged in the opener and the home hub again but no luck. Anyone else have the same issue recently or any suggestions?
