I have an office subscription and recently installed Word to my iMac running 10.15.7 without any difficulty. Tried to do the same on my MacBook Pro with the same OS 10.15.7 but I'm getting the following: " (null) can’t be installed on “500GB SSD” because macOS version 11 or later is required."
Any suggestions?
Microsoft discontinued support for Office apps on Catalina. Existing installs on Catalina will continue to run but will no longer receive updates. New installs require macOS Big Sur or later. if microsoft raised the macOS requirements since then you need to update the macos of the macbook pro

Thanks for your response. Not really sure what is meant by macros but will research that. It seems that my iMac and laptop have identical versions of OS but the iMac had no problem installing the same day I attempted to install on the laptop.

I was able to install Word on the iMac the same day I attempted to install on the laptop so not sure what the difference was but will keep researching it.
