iPhone 13 - Call Failed

I have an iPhone 13 Mini, Version 16.1.2. On at least a daily basis, sometimes more frequently, when trying to make a call, the response has been "Call Failed". I have similar iPhone 13 (standard size) that can make calls when the mini fails.

The problem can be fixed with a reboot (at least on a daily basis).

It did correct itself when I turned airplane mode on for 5 sec, then back on.

I've walked thru the repair process shown on, support.apple.com/en-us/HT204027.

I've called my cellular company and they do not have a solution.

The frequency of "Call Failed" and the need to reboot is too frequent to be acceptable.

Hey BUHS1962,

Does the iPhone 13 mini have a VPN or configuration profile installed that may impact how it accesses your cellular network? If so, take a moment to disable it and see if that rectifies the issue. If you have a profile installed, it would be under Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.

That said, if there is no profile or if the issue persists, given the steps you've taken, we'd advise contacting Apple Support for assistance.
