Control of contacts on kids watch/phone

I have my kids watch setup with a handful of allowed concacts for them to call/text.

But what i see is that ANY number can be dialed from the keypad on the watch and calls can be received from any number.

How is this sufficient parental control? I have spent hours digging into this. Setup multiple child accounts to get to where i am. This is so broken, Apple..!! HALP

If you really think you need to block the phone, on your iPhone go to Settings > Screen Time. Tap on the name of your child. Then tap on Communication Limits. Change Allowed Communications to Contacts Only for both During Screen Time and During Down Time. All numbers that are not in your child's contact list will be automatically routed to voicemail if they call your child and your child's Apple Watch will not ring.

You aren't speaking with Apple on this user to user only forum. It's very difficult to completely control what communications your kids devices can see. Here is a link about using Parental Controls, which you may have already used to help you --> Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

If this isn't enough for your needs, call Apple (if in the US) at: 800-MY-APPLE

@muguy, done that already and still able to make and receive calls from numbers not on the list.

The child can't add a contact, but they can go to the keypad and dial any number... Or get calls from any number..defeating the purpose of an allowed list :-(

@lobsterghost1: did all those steps multiple times and i had a call with apple support that said they will research abt it and i was on hold for 45 mins before i dropped the call. :(
