Charging cord for Apple Pencil 2nd generation

Since the iPad Mini 6th Generation uses a newer, faster cord now, can that same cord be used to charge the Apple Pencil 2nd generation?

No.

The second generation Apple Pencil uses inductive charging from compatible models of iPad. The second generation Apple Pencil does not support pairing/charging using a cable.

For compatible model of iPad, the second generation Pencil magnetically attaches to the inductive charging port of the host iPad. Unlike the first generation Apple Pencil, there is no direct electrical connection between the iPad and Pencil.

The two models of Pencil are not interchangeable.
