Have been having intermittent problems with finance data not update but now the data types are gone in the data tab and can't get them back.

Data types require an Office 365 subscription. They are available only to Worldwide Multi-Tenant clients (standard Microsoft 365 accounts).
Some users on the Microsoft forums reporting they had to uninstall Office 365 and re-install and re-authenticate with their 365 account and that resolved the issue. Seems to be bug or a licensing issue. Some education customers do not have the proper license.
