Passes keep disappearing from my Apple wallet

Passes in Apple Wallet keep disappearing automatically. I have noticed this after upgrading to IOS 16. I added one yesterday and it is gone today.

  • Currently running IOS 16.1 on iPhone 12.
  • Hide Expired passes is disabled.


Any thoughts/suggestions?

I did some more digging. Looks like something is really broken in wallet on the new IOS.


  • On another iPhone 12 running the same IOS (16.1) but with "Hide Expired Passes" enabled, the passes show date from 1935. (And we have confirmation of time travel :) ):




  • When I open any such pass, the date is correct:


Is anyone else facing this issue? Does not look limited to my iPhone. Inputs appreciated.
