When using the iPhone's dictation in a text message, it inserts random comma punctuations into my sentences even if I did not state for a comma to be inserted. The commas being inserted are not grammatically correct, so this does not appear to be as a result of an auto correct function. This began after I upgraded to IO 16. Does anyone know why this is happening?

This was annoying me significantly as well, but I just realized you can thankfully manually turn it off by going to settings, general, keyboard and dictation and turning off auto-punctuation. I’m so glad, because it was getting on my last nerve since I used dictation so often and had to “fix” virtually everything I ever dictated.
I am dictating on a Mac mini, Ventura OS. I cannot find the auto-punctuate feature (to disable the incessant commas) in keyboards or anywhere else. Is this available only on i-phones? Thanks.

I've just dictated two words and it put a comma in between them! I did not pause either. The words were mind boggling. 🙄 it's driving me crazy. When will they change the **** thing?

I just finally upgraded because I hate getting a new iOS is right away, it’s now August 4 and this problem is still happening

I’m having the same issue and found this thread by googling “iPhone voice text random commas”. It’s super annoying but glad I’m not the only one experiencing this. Were you able to resolve the issue?
I've had the same issue since the last update too. It's very annoying and I have to spend so much time correcting all the commas. I hope they fix this issue soon.
