iPhone dictation adding random commas after update

When using the iPhone's dictation in a text message, it inserts random comma punctuations into my sentences even if I did not state for a comma to be inserted. The commas being inserted are not grammatically correct, so this does not appear to be as a result of an auto correct function. This began after I upgraded to IO 16. Does anyone know why this is happening?

When I use dictation, I spend several minutes undoing all the random commas because I don’t want to look like a fool. I’ve heard that the new version is oversensitive to pauses. I would much rather ask for a comma than be given seven I didn’t ask for please. Apple please sort this out.

can you please change this horrible horrible talk text update? Just like everyone else on this thread, and in the community says you add extraneous commas for no reason and the button does not turn off once finish speaking like any other intelligent talk text feature, Apple has taken several steps backwards and made this just an overall awful awful talk text and I find myself having to delete 17 commas. Every effing time I use it, please change this back to what it was, and fix this, what a horrible decision by Apple, though I’m not surprised, considering the direction they’ve taken iTunes, and how they force people into buy new computers with their sneaky upgrades, just another swing, and a miss her Apple, though they probably don’t care because they make so much money, fix this effing problem now further, it says if they removed periods so it’s taken something else that was useful off the table too, it’s really unbelievable how poor this talk text feature is it’s similar to how they rolled out Apple mats, and had to formally apologize. Also, if you notice any grammar mistakes in this post, it’s because I’m using talk text feature, and I have perfect, English and clearly annunciated every single word perfectly

I can't wait for them to correct the random, inappropriate use of commas.

Sentences and their meaning are completely ruined. I use it for my professional notes to myself but now it actually is risky because you can never guarantee you've fixed the large number of random errors caused by this problem. Now it's time-consuming and frustrating.

I have been using notepad since my first iPhone, 4 or 5 I think. I use it every day, and it aggravates the **** out of me every day. It has the same bugs now as it had back then and more new ones now. A few updates ago it started often transcribing normal words into capitalized names. Then, after that it started randomly capitalizing the first letter of words everywhere. And now it’s inserting commas everywhere. I use notepad every day, and not only have they not fixed any of the bugs, or improved it, they are actively introducing new bugs. When using notepad I spend half the time transcribing and the other half fixing all the transcription errors. As I did writing this comment and removing about 20 commas. This is why this is my last iPhone.

I didn't have this problem on my iPhone 12 pro until I reset all my settings two days ago, and then I went in and turned off auto punctuation to try to stop it from happening, and it's still happening. I don't have auto correct turned on, nor do I have predictive text turned on. It's adding commas in places where they don't make sense when I dictate. I have nothing with commas in my word replacements either, so it isn't that. I have even updated to 16.3.1, and it's still doing it. When dictating this, it put a comma after auto correct. It would have been between auto correct, and turned.

duh really? That doesn't fix the issues. Obviously. I use the Notes app every day and have been using voice transcription since my first iPhone. It has the exact same bugs it's had since day one and more. I turned off auto capitalization to get rid of the random capitalization it inserts everywhere so now it still inserts random capitalizations everywhere except at the beginning of sentences. It auto corrects common words that it has transcribed correctly and changes them to proper names. It now inserts commas everywhere too. It doesn't re-poll the space button so half the time when you're holding it down to get the cursor you're holding it forever for nothing and then it inserts a space. Instead of fixing this app, it just keeps getting worse

it's pretty mind blowing how awful Apple is at talk text, it even knows what you are saying, but it chooses to type the incorrect word, and then, when you click on it or press the incorrect phrase, it suggest exactly what you said. This whole, thing is new in the last year, but seriously, Apple, you invest in a ton of dumb **** but you can't get something that's score to an iPhone, correct? It's really sad, they just continue to make decisions that are incredibly frustrating and then they have so much potential.

FYI, if you notice any grammatical errors or something off about my paragraph, I did this all with Apple talk text, thanks apple, another dumb af failure.

The point is, we shouldn’t have to change anything. We all paid a lot of money for our phones, including all the features that are supposed to be included with it. This is a ridiculous problem for supposedly such advanced programming. Apple needs to fix it, not us. I want all the features that I paid for and I want them to work. Otherwise I would’ve just stayed with my old phone.

You have all the features you paid for and more. Some people don't like the newer features. All you need to do is turn them off.
