Does apple care+ cover stolen ipads

AppleCare+ is an extension of the original warranty and does offer two reduced fee accidental damage claims. But only “AppleCare+ with theft and loss” for iPhones coverage (not available in all countries) includes a partnership with Apple of an insurance company that covers loss or theft of a device.

Apple itself does not insure anything against loss or theft - they are not a licensed insurance company. They do partner with insurance companies in some countries to offer loss and theft coverage as separate and distinct purchasable coverage packages. Loss and theft coverage is available for iPhone, but not for iPad.

E.g. in the USA -> AppleCare Products - iPhone - Apple and AppleCare Products - iPad - Apple

What he posted only applies to iPhone and not iPad.

Also, if you never added any type of theft or loss coverage, for that iPad, in the past, through an insurance company/provider, then it is too late for any of that, now.

Again, Very Sorry, but absolutely nothing to be done, now, other than if you have the original sales receipt for this iPad, with a serial number, you can report this theft to your local authourities/Police.

No coverage for that is available through Apple, so that doesn't matter. If you separately got a policy which does, contact its provider.
