My iPad will be unenrolled from Apple School Manager, which means the mobile device management profiles will be removed, but the supervision text will remain on top of Settings. I want to remove this text by resetting my iPad (advised by my administrator). If I do an iCloud Backup of my iPad and restore from that, will the supervision text still be there?

Unenrolling from ASM won't remove MDM. You have to remove both. If you want the supervision text gone, you will need to wipe and start as new. Supervision is part of the backup. Also, MDM profiles are embedded into the backup.

You'll need to wait for the MDM profile to be no longer on the device. Then you can backup without the MDM profile being embedded. Supervision will remain. The only way to move a device from Supervised to non-supervised (or non-supervised to supervised) is to wipe the device and set it up as new.
Yes, my school said they would remove the MDM profiles and then unenroll the device from ASM. From there, the supervision text is still there and if I make a backup, would that include it even though I am unenrolled?
