No Sim in another country

Hey all,

I recently bought a second-hand iPhone XR in Germany (Thie.com) and it works perfectly in EU and even in Korea where I am now. The problem is when I insert a Korean SIM card provided by KT, the phone does not recognise the signal and keeps showing 'No Sim'.

So far, I have tried almost everything I can do from my side. I would ask here whether it would be possible that the company who sold the phone might have fixed the phone not completely or somehow imperfectly that it only exclusively works with German SIM card. Is it possible?

Thank you for your comments and ideas in advance.

Remove your SIM card from the SIM card tray and then put the SIM card back. ... Make sure that the SIM tray closes completely and isn't loose. If you use a SIM tray from a different model iPhone, iPad, or from another phone manufacturer, it might not fit properly.

To be able to use any SIM across the globe you must have "No SIM Restriction" against Network Provider Lock. Please refer to the pic below.
