AVB - Virtual Entity Discovery on Macbook Pro

Hello

I am trying to connect my Macbook Pro 21 (M1 Max, Ventura 13.0.1) to a Meyer Sound Galaxy which runs AVB, all the devices on my network are running AVB protocol.

My issue is that I cannot find my Macbook Pro as an AVB entity to use it to stream multi channel audio from and to my other devices.

I'm using an ethernet to usb c adapter, i tried going to the MIDI-Network Devices-AVB Audio Config - ATDECC Controller, I see the other devices such as the Meyer Galaxy but I do not see my Macbook Pro as an entity and I cannot add it.

I would appreciate any help on this.

Apple support had no idea when I asked this question so I bought one and I can tell you 100% it is NOT AVB compliant. You will need an Apple USB C to thunderbolt 2 converter and then daisy-chain an Apple thunderbolt 2 to Ethernet adapter. Or spend a lot of money on a Sonnet Thunderbolt 3/4 to ethernet adapter.

Annoying, I cannot understand why Apple would bring out the new MACBook with no direct to ethernet adapter supporting AVB.
