Mail disappeared/recalled

I received an email, on my iPad, opened it and read it. It was an offer to complete a pymetrics test. Then I researched the subject and went back to Mail less than 30 minutes later and the email I received had totally disappeared from my inbox.

is it possible the company has recalled the email. If yes can I get it back?

iPad, iPadOS 16

If a message recall has been successfully applied, recovery is not intended to be possible - as this would defeat the entire point of a mail message recall.

Assuming that your email provider is using an IMAP or POP3 mailbox, try looking for the missing message using a web browser via your Mail provider’s webmail portal.
