Hi jimmytoobad,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand that your Mac turns on, but the screen is black. If you have any connected display or additional accessories, disconnect them and restart your computer. If the display continues to be black, try entering macOS Recovery to see if it happens here.

Apple silicon
1. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds, until you see the startup options window, which includes a gear icon labeled Options. Select Options, then click Continue.
2. If you never see the startup options window, release the power button, then repeat step 1.

Intel processor
1. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds.
2. Press and release the power button, then immediately press and hold Command (⌘)-R until you see an Apple logo or other image.

If you're able to see the screen while in macOS Recovery, run a health check in Disk Utility. You can find these steps and more in If your Mac starts up to a blank screen.

Regards.
