DVD 6.0 player software

Replaced Super Drive (HL-DT-ST DVDRW GS41N Rev. TA17, set to Region 1 for USA, DVDs are USA) and have dual boot system. Windows 10 plays DVD movies well. MacOS will not play DVDs. MacOS pulls up DVD player software, sometime 3secs of music plays, but won't continue playing. "Not Permitted" often shows when trying to navigate in DVD player. HELP!

Hey mid2009,

"If a “Not Permitted” message appears: You may see this message if you try to use a DVD Player feature that isn’t supported by the movie (either at that time or at all), or if the movie was burned onto a type of DVD-RW disc that DVD Player doesn’t recognize."
