I'd like to download blender on my macbook air but everytime I try it says it failed and I dont understand why since I have Apple M1 which is compatible and the graphics also are compatible

Can't update MacBook6.1 to OS X 12 or later I am trying to install an app from the App Store, but I am getting the error message "We could not complete your purchase. (null) can't be installed on "Untitled" because OS X version 12 or later is required." My MacBook6.1 is currently running OS X 10.11.6. I went to the App Store to update my macOS, but there are no updates available. How can I update my MacBook6.1 to OS X 12 or later? Although their Website does mention Big Sur 11.0 an Apple Silicon is supported ;

1 - Does the application run on newer versions of Big Sur like the current version 11.7.1 ?

2 - Is there and error message when the user attempts to run the application ?
