iPhone 14 Pro Home and Lock Screen Battery Drain

Hi Apple fam, I’m facing a really weird battery drain issue especially at night, where I’m not using my iPhone 14 Pro and the battery dips like mad, as you can see in the attached screenshot, the home and Lock Screen is using up 99% of the battery.

I have turned off all Lock Screen widgets and performed a hard reset.

Hi thewarrenlee,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. From the screenshot you provided, we noticed this is occurring specifically between 6am - 7am in which the Home & Lock Screen is showing 99% of battery usage. Between that time frame is the iPhone being used?

If you haven't tried yet, we suggest to restart your iPhone, as it can help resolve unexpected behavior. In addition to that, we recommend to have the latest version of iOS 16.1.2 installed. This helps provide software improvements on your device. If needed, here's how to update the software:

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

These steps are outlined here and can help: Update your iPhone or iPad

We look forward to hearing back from you with an update.

Kind regards.
