Maci mini (2012) keyboard and trackpad disconnects and reconnects

Hi!

I got an older mac mini, where the trackpad and keyboard keep disconnecting and reconnecting. It happens every 5-15 seconds, and it's driving me crazy!! This didn't used to be an issue, but the computer was factory reset before I recived it, and it worked fine for the first week, but since its just going bananas.

I have tried all the top tips from google(change batteries, disconnect and reconnect devices, SMC reset etc.) but nothing seems to be working. It has the latest update (macOS Catalina 10.15.7) If there is an tech wizards out there than can please someone offer some advice on how I fix this problem, before I throw the whole thing out the window!

Did you recently connect a USB 3 external drive or hub?

Did you recently add any other electronic devices close to the Mac mini or your wireless keyboard and trackpad?

If so, then poorly shielded high speed USB cables and other devices can cause both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues. Plus other out side devices that can cause Bluetooth issues are, wireless phone bases, electric motors, speaker systems, etc…
