Disk not ejected properly "Backups of ..." on Ventura

I already have that feature turned off. This is starting to happen during the day while I am working on the computer. D is my backup drive, a 2 TB SSD drive. E is a 2 TB drive also but is not included in the backup.

Looks like I spoke too soon. Still seems to be happening.

I have Ventura 13.3 and I still experience the issue. Also, my Mac is running with a UPS, in case that matters.

My 2023 Mac Mini (M2 Pro, 32 GB) has two 2TB Crucial SSDs directly connected. When I wake the computer I consistently get "disk not ejected properly". I'm running Ventura 13.4

My version is Ventura 13.2.1 and I don't see any updates available. Can I force an update?

Of course it was! Because I just updated to 13.4.1!

Still getting this error message soon after I upgraded to Sonoma 14.0. Clearly the bug is not being taken seriously at Apple

If Apple still had Time Machine hardware, they might care. They don't. So they don't, apparently.

Just saw this for the first time. I've been on Sonoma since it was first released. Currently on 14.5. I have a Synology NAS with the current software version.

Hooray!! Finally, with Sonoma 14.5 I no longer get the message when I wake my M2 Mini from sleep. Thanks Apple! The Micron 2TB SSDs and two hard drives show up without any message.

For what it's worth, my M1 MBP still has the problem even on Sonoma 14.5. It's less frequent, but it still happens.

Just upgraded from Intel to M3 iMac. Getting this message frequently. At least the backups seem to be working.
