Charging issue via Macbook Air M1

Hello all,

Faced a little issue. Not a major one, but anyway want to find out.

Scenario: I using Macbook Air M1 with external display Dell S2722QC conected via USB-C(Thunderbolt, Macbook is charging via display by 65W while pluged), with simulteniously conected external HDD Drive (WD MyPassport PRO 4TB) through USB-A(one of ports on display), and at the same time i was trying to charge my IPhone XS Max via second free USB-C(Thunderbolt) port on Macbook. Iphone charges very(very-very) slowly or even disharges (used original Iphone cable from the box) in described above case.

Do you have any issues in such similiar use-cases? Appreciate any feedback.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.0

Hi andrii_piddubrivny,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you're charging your Mac using the display and also charging your iPhone that is charging slowly. It is possible that the iPhone would charge slowly since you're using a third-party cable to charge your Mac and your Mac is also charging. If you would like a faster connection charge for iPhone, it would be best to either charge Mac first and then charge iPhone or charge iPhone directly from a wall connection.

Fast charge your iPhone

Charge the iPhone battery

Regards.
