How do I know the card I added is already active and can be used.

I just added a credit card to my apple wallet. How do I know it is now active and can already be used. First timer.

iPhone 6s, iOS 14

Its active the moment its successfully added. If you did not get any error message and you can see it in the Wallet App it can now be used with Apple Pay. There is no waiting period.

They have to accept Apple Pay.

Thank you, PHIL0124. An old lady trying to navigate the WALLET APP. Another stupid question from me: " If I want to pay a vendor/services, do they have to accept the WALLET APP so I can pay them?
