I have one K860 at home (MacBook pro) and at the office (imac). The keyboard works fine at the office on the log in screen, the one at home won't register until I use the mbp keyboard to log in. Kind of annoying.
anyone else experience this?

Incompatible, perhaps?
Do a little research, finding out if this is compatible with your macOS. If not, then it just will not work.
got the solution - I had to upgrade to macos 13.0.1
I don't have the keyboard to test but, have you tried both connection methods, Bluetooth and USB Receiver?
i have tried both ways, does not work on the login screen
Okay well that's good. I just checked my M1 MacBook Air running Ventura and no issue logging in with an Apple Magic Keyboard.

Yes. Had some screen flickering on my other Mac --had to step aside, without seeing the answer. 😊
