IPhone 14 Plus - internet and wifi issues

Following transfer from previous iphone (11) I am having trouble with some apps accessing WIFI. For example Facebook works okay but Messenger has "No Internet Connection" although on Wifi. Also not able to send or receive imessages. I have reset my wifi, reset the Network settings on the phone, uninstalled and reinstalled apps and downloaded latest IOS version. Should I start again?

Check your WiFi Router / Modem for --> Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points ...

Connecting to Wifi is the first part and then getting connected to the Internet is the second

  1. If you connect to Wifi, doesn't necessarily mean you are connected to the internet. If you are not connected to wifi could be a problem with iPhone settings or Router/Modem Settings
  2. If you are not connected to the internet is the sole issue of Router / Modem Settings. Contact your ISP immediately

For your Internet connection.

  • Over Cellular: contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider). The agency who issued the SIM to you
  • Over WiFI: Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the agency who provided the Internet Service on your Modem/Router to you

Thanks for your help however the wifi is working but not for all apps. I had no issue with modem/wifi with previous mobile and neither do other family members now. We have no mobile service in the house so totally reliant on wifi. It must therefore be the modem that is connecting phone to the limited service that I have - can do banking, search on internet, Instagram but messaging seems to be the main issue.
