Why an app is not compatible with iPad?

I suspect the underlying reason is either the device is old and it somehow allowed a new version of the app requiring newer hardware, or the app is old and you may need to use a newer version on your hardware. It his difficult saying more without knowing more about the equipment, the iOS version you are using, or even which app.

Impossible to say without more information? Is this an app you already have, or one you are trying to download? What messsges are you seeing? If the incompatibility is because the iOS needs updating then you need to update it. If that is not possible because the device is old and cannot be updated further then you are out of luck as far as that device is concerned.

Possibly because your iPad is too old.

Over 9-11 year old iPad models can nio longet have their iOS upgraded and have no more current apps avaialble to them, any longer.
