Oh that's sweet. I disabled all the extensions and it fixed the problem. Re-enabled one at a time, testing each one. Now even with all back enabled, it still works. Thanks very much. P

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;
• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed
• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)
• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically
• Disables user-installed fonts
• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

Yes. Sorry. Also forgot to mention I am operating Safari 16.1 in Ventura 13.01 on a 2020 Mac Mini M1.
You're on a roll. 😎
If you have any Safari extensions try disabling them.
Der...I am in UK or Isle of Man. I can sign in using any other browser. I have always been able to sign in using any browser. I have never left my location. This has only happened with recent updated Safari.
That would indicate you have to be within the UK or Isle of Man to join the site.
Put the money to some large and wide US or global ETF instead.
That would have been important information to include in your original post.

Ventura 13.1 is still in beta and we can't help with pre-release versions. However, you should have Safari 16.2.
You're welcome. If it happens again, you'll know where to look. 😎
