Is there a way to download Apple TV content (episodes) to a Windows 10 PC, for viewing later? I will be at a location without internet access in one week and would like to view content. Do I need an app?

Well that stinks. Can I at least watch content on my Windows' Chrome browser while connected to the internet, and apple.com?
You should be able to do this on a compatible Mac or iOS/iPadOS device, but not Windows. It isn't supported in the browser, and there is no dedicated Apple TV app for Windows, nor is this content available through iTunes.

You can access the https://tv.apple.com through any browser on a Windows PC and stream the content from the subscription service as long as you have an internet connection.
You can also access and stream iTunes Store content directly in iTunes if you have an Internet connection.
You can download purchased content from the iTunes Store. This includes movie and Tv show purchases and movie rentals.

Thanks Phil, but there are 2 issues with that.
First, Apple mysteriously doesn't put its content, i.e. Ted Lasso, on iTunes.
Second, why would I pay twice (streaming and downloaded) for the same content?

Nothing mysterious about it. Ted Lasso is part of the TV+ subscription service. It is only available through the subscription service in the Apple TV App or on the tv.apple.com website.

You don't. They are separate things. You pay for the subscription to access the content from the subscription, and you can also choose to buy or rent things from the iTunes store that aren't part of the subscription service.
They're 2 different sources of content.
