Does the iPhone 6S support Lossless audio

I have an iPhone 6S to store my own music that I created. I first uploaded it to my iPhone 12 and it showed Lossless but when I put it on my iPhone 6S it doesn’t show it. I looked in settings but it doesn’t show anything on lossless. I am running iOS 15.5.

Hi Mr-Master,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities!

To listen to lossless on your iPhone, you'll need to meet the requirements listed in this article: About lossless audio in Apple Music - Apple Support

You can listen to lossless on an iPhone or iPad updated to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS using:
-A wired connection to headphones, receivers, or powered speakers
-The built-in speakers
-To listen to songs at sample rates higher than 48 kHz, you need an external digital-to-analog converter.

The latest iOS is required in order to listen to lossless. The latest is iOS 16.1.2 currently which is not compatible with your iPhone 6S. Check out: iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 are compatible with these devices - Apple Support.

This would be expected behavior.

Hope that helps!
