How do I get bluetooth to connect between my Macbook pro 2015 and iphone 11? both completely updated in software. Also when I plug the iphne 11 vie lighting cable to the macbook it says it needs an update and it always fails to install. I would like to know how to get the continuity camera to work but I guess it requires bluetooth to connect.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi must be turned on but the iPhone and the MacBook Pro are not Bluetooth paired. My phone and the laptop don’t connect via bluetooth nor usb cable. When i plug it in my laptop it says it need to download new software then it fails installing every time. The continuity camera is supposed to work wired too but neither connection works right now
