I keep logging out of game center, but there’s one game I play that doesn’t want to take “no” for an answer and either prompts me to sign in to GC, or just signs me in automatically. I don’t play games with other people and do not want this app on my phone. How do I delete either the app or my GC account? Both, preferably.

Game Center is tied to your Apple ID and will be found in Settings > Game Center. You can make your profile private and turn off requests, finding nearby players and connecting with friends here. Thank you, but I don’t want to delete a game app. I want to disable Apple’s Game Center function. I don’t even have it as an app, so I have no way of selecting it and deleting it as per your instructions.

You can delete a game application from your device with these steps:
1. Touch and hold the app.
2. Tap Remove App.
3. Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.
