Hello naeemah17,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Keeping your iPad up to date is the best way to keep your device secure.

Are you running the latest iPadOS version:

"Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

  1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install. The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.
  5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

More details can be found here: Update your iPhone or iPad

Can you also provide a few more details? What concerns do you currently have about your iPad's vulnerability? Has anything been downloaded recently? Also, what is your exact iPadOS version?

Cheers!
