After the last iPhone update, maps disappeared from the home screen. When I go to the App Store it allows me to open the app but does not restore it to my screen. I would like to know how to get it back.

Check for it under the App Library. Next to the last page of the Home Screen. If it is in the App Library Touch, Hold and Drag the icon to Home Screen. That's it.
