Mac is making loud beeping sound

Every once and a while, my MacBook will make this extremely obnoxious beeping sound, especially when I am using apple music and switching between songs. It seems to be pretty random, but I definitely think it has something to do with apple music and possibly the new spatial audio feature they have added. If anyone has any insight into this issue and can help, that would be great.

Hey there kar161,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. To get started, does the issue occur if you turn off Spatial Audio off with the steps shown below: Listen to spatial audio in Dolby Atmos in Music on Mac - Apple Support

Change the Dolby Atmos (spatial) audio quality for a song
1. In the Music app  on your Mac, stream a song from Apple Music.
Note: A song needs to be playing before you can change its audio quality.
2. Click the Dolby button  in the playback controls to turn Spatial Audio on or off.

If the issue persists with Spatial Audio disabled, try testing the issue in safe mode. This can help to determine if the issue may be caused by some other software that has loaded when starting your MacBook.

For steps on how to boot into safe mode, and what to do if the issue does or doesn't occur while in safe mode, check out this link here: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
