Logic Board fried on 2020 MacBookPro: recurrent issue?

Am shocked: a practically new MacBookPro 16’ requires new logic board. Has anyone experienced this? Falty cheap components?

The laptop kept freezing and crashing.

Apple Store extended test reveals hardware memory problem and says logic board replacement is needed.

Why pay extra $$$ to now get cheap components…

Just over the one year + Credit card 1 xtra year warranty.

It is is like buying a Jaguar (expensive) and needs a brand new engine…

Necer dropped No liwuid famage Mint condition inside (Apple staff opened the machine…)

It seems to overheat - been using a port hub on left side (external Apple studio display monitor, external keyboard, ethernet, ext harddrive backup and charger on right side…

Why so low reliability of key component…???

Apple shipped about 20 million Macs last year, and a lot of the were MacBooks.

that means about 400,00 a week, or over 57,000 units a day.

I am really sorry yours failed, but out of all the Macs shipped, knowing that one failed does not move the needle on reliability one bit.

You have too small a sample to draw conclusions about reliability.

Occasionally, even a new Jaguar will need a new engine, 'just because'. That's what warranties and extended warranties are all about.
