Migration Assistant Mac Studio thunderbolt-3 to Mac Pro (trashcan) thunderbolt-2 via adapter

I am using the Apple thunderbolt-3 to thunderbolt-2 adapter to migrate from a Mac Pro to a new Mac Studio. With this configuration, Migration Assistant reports only a 713Mb/s transfer rate.. nothing near the expected 10 Gb/s rate, what gives???

Migration assistant reported only 110Mb/s transfer rate via the ethernet ports on both Macs, again I would have expected better.

I’m using all Apple HW and cables.

Has anyone gotten Gb transfer speeds on anything other than maybe disk drives, using thunderbolt?

Migration assistant is going to report data transferred in Bytes/sec

ThunderBolt specs are rated in bits/sec.

the convention is b for bits, B for Bytes (or spell it out).

I think you are within the limits of what can be expected, especially if any Rotating magnetic drives are involved.
