6th gen ipod activation lock previous owner dead and cannot help

6th gen ipod, nice device, erased and reset it using itunes. I would like to use it.

Cannot get into ipod becasue it is activation locked, tied or associated to some persons itunes account.

I have read at least one dozen articles already, including some here on itunes.

that clear. Previous owner not available. So please, please ,please, do not ask us to contact previous owner so they can log into their account.

How can I get this ipod factory reset in such a way we can use it and bypass this request that says it is associated with someone else or already associated to an account.

In Itunes is says Activation Lock.
