Playback speed higher than 1x seems to be not supported when trying to play on Apple homepod speaker

As soon as I connect my phone to homepod speaker while watching/ playing a Youtube video at playback speed more than 1.0x, the audio goes off .

Greetings kabirrawal,

Let’s isolate and clarify the situation a bit more.

  • After connecting to your HomePod, please try to change the speed. What happens?
  • When using an Apple-developed app, such as Podcasts or the Apple TV is the situation consistent?

Also, while we’re here troubleshooting, we’d like to have you install the iOS 16.1.2 update, after creating a backup. The following article goes over how to create a back to iCloud, to a Mac or to a PC - How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Update your iPhone or iPad

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Thanks.
