Clicker won't select or click

The mouse Cursor moves, but won't select or click. The clicker pad on the MacBook Pro doesn’t work either…

I can’t login to my MacBook Pro to reset anything….

Please help! Thank you so much!

Disappearing cursor in OS Ventura 13.1 Cursor disappears on a new (December 2, 2022) MBP with M2 chip running Ventura 13 and then 13.1 upgrade. Especially frequent when MacMail client is open, but also with MS Word application open. What is the cause and are there known fixes?
