Your iPad3 is long obsolete - hardware support through Apple having ceased some years ago. Your only option for a screen repair will be through a third-party repair shop - using aftermarket parts.

Given the age and support status of iPad3, for which software updates and installable Apps are no longer available, you might be better advised to use the money towards a new iPad that is fully capable of running current versions of iPadOS and modern Apps.

Of current models, even the entry-level iPad9 supports current iPadOS 15/16 - and has hardware specifications and capabilities that vastly outperform an old iPad3.

Be aware that Apple do not sell any iPad components, replacement screens or otherwise, for self installation. Similarly, Apple will not sell OEM parts outside of its network of Apple Authorised Service Providers (AASPs) - and neither will an AASP sell the parts to you.

If your iPad requires repair, you’ll either need to arrange repair via the Genius Bar at a Apple Store, or an AASP. A further alternative is to use Apple’s mail-in service.

You will not find any new, OEM Apple parts for any iOS/iPadOS devices for D I Y repair.

Apple does NOT sell any new, OEM parts, for any of their hardware products, to any individuals.

You maybe able to find damaged and non-working iPads, for sale, through the likes of eBay and other similar auction/selling sites, to be able to cannsbilise parts, for a, possible, DIY repair, but that is all.

That stated, no Apple devices have ANY user serviceable components/parts and Apple and Apple stores frown on users doing any DIY repairs on their devices.

So much so that many of Apple's newest devices are, now, nearly impossible to repair by the user or by any skillee and knowledgeable , but unauthorised, third party Apple device repair centers.

Also, Apple and Apple stores reserve the right to refuse any customer who attempted a DIY repair of their Apple devices and failed to the fix this on their own.

Apple and Apple Store locations do NOT repair iPads.

To expedite quick and speedy customer service, Apple and Apple stores ONLY offer in/out-of-warranty device.

If your 2018 iPad is out of all its warranty periods, an out-of-warranty device replacement will be very expensive at, approximately, 60% of Apple's full, original OEM pricing for the device.
