CarPlay not filling up the screen

Currently in a BMW 32905 (renting), and I was playing around to settings and unable to get CarPlay to fill the whole screen. Is this normal?

CarPlay not working with iOS 18 I have had ios18 for a while now. Since I’ve installed it, my CarPlay doesn’t work in my GMC terrain. I can connect it and it works in the car, but then the car display will go black and reset. I know it’s only iOS 18 bc my spouse hadn’t updated it yet and it worked fine. Then the second they updated it, now it’s not working. Same thing, it will connect then reset.
