Family sharing when a kid has their own Music account
We have family sharing, but one of my kids wants to keep paying for their own Apple Music account. How can I make that work?

There shouldn't be anything you have to do as long as they continue to renew the subscription for their Apple Music account. If they want to pay for the subscription, they can add Apple Gift cards to their account to cover the subscription cost. Charges will be deducted from the account balance before the organizer's credit card is charged. See the articles below for information.

Eric answer is correct. However, not sure what purpose it would serve for them to keep paying for the Music subscription, if you can share yours through Family sharing, other than have an extra payment that they can totally save if you are paying for Apple Music too.
Sharing the Apple Music subscription, does not imply you are going to share the actual music and playlists.
As long as each person is using their own Apple ID, music remains entirely separate on each Apple ID. They won’t see yours, and you won’t see theirs.
