Whenever I make a call I am unable to adjust the volume, and within 5 mins of the call I can’t hear the other person at all. I’ve tried the same old same old new cord new port cut off and cut on. Both 14 pro max and truck radio is on current updated systems. This was not an issue 1 week ago with my iPhone 10…. Any advice?

If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure that CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure that CarPlay is enabled. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car, then tap Forget This Car. Then set up CarPlay again.
2020 Chevy Colorado, car play lights up green when plugged in. I can start off using phone through car play but unable to adjust volume and like I had mentioned after 5 mins I can not hear the person but they can hear me. I just did what you suggested about CarPlay and forget this car. Will try again when I leave work and let you know if this worked
I tried and no improvement. Have been on phone calls with Apple for over an hour and have narrowed it down to outgoing calls. But of course didnt figure this out until done with the lady that was helping me so I’m stuck until Thursday
