How to scan on iphone 14
How do I upgrade Notes so that I can dcan documents to PDF on my iphone 14?

You should not need to update anything. Notes has been capable of scanning items since iOS 11.
Make sure the Note you are in, and wanting to scan a document with is under the iCloud or On My iPhone folders.
Other email accounts like Hotmail. Yahoo, Outlook etc... do not support document scanning.
In a note in a supported group, you should be able to tap on the camera icon, and then on Scan Document.
