What model/brand of wireless mouse? Have you changed or charged (whichever is applicable) the batteries?
I'm sorry, the tech specs I looked at must have been for a different version, one with rechargeable batteries.
Can you test the mouse on another computer? Does a wired mouse work properly (always good to have one as a backup, by the way)? Have you tried a different set of batteries?
However, I'd say close to 10 years is a good run for a mouse.
What do you mean the batteries are "fine"? Does that mean they are properly charged?
At a guess, the batteries have lost their ability to hold a charge. All rechargeable batteries eventually do. It may be time for a new mouse.
Sorry I have no other useful insights. Best of luck!
It's the magic mouse that came with my computer. iMac 2013, I think. The batteries are fine. It seems to recognize the mouse at first, but then if I click on something, it just freezes up and tells me my mouse is disconnected.
I mean that I just replaced the batteries, so they are not the problem. Do you mean that the mouse itself is the problem?
I have tried two sets of batteries. A wired mouse works properly. I don't have another computer to test the mouse on though. You're probably right that I need a new mouse! Thanks for your help
