iCloud.com logs me out after barely signing in

I sign into icloud.com with my Apple ID and password and I briefly see the Welcome screen and then I'm returned to the sign-in page.

I have tried on iPhone, iPad, and a Galaxy Tablet.

they all sign me in for a split second, then log out back to the sign in page.

Help please.

I'm having the same issue. I go to https://www.icloud.com and click on "Sign In", enter my user name and password and enter my 2FA code.


For about 2 seconds I see a "Welcome ape_ape" and I'm then redirected back to https://www.icloud.com and I've been logged out. Clearing cookies doesn't help, using a different browser doesn't help. Using a different computer doesn't help.


I've checked the system status site and everything has a green dot. The system status site is useless. Name a social network and you'll find people complaining about this issue. It's literally blowing up, but all systems are green. What's the point of a system status page that can't tell you your stuff is having problems?


Thankfully logging into community support doesn't suffer from the same issue, otherwise I'd be unable to post this and about ready to throw all my Apple devices into the garbage.

This resolved the problem for me, I recently had some trouble signing into my iCloud account from my desktop. I tried several times, but my login attempts kept failing. Frustrated, I opened my Apple ID and i was signed in I just signed out sign out before attempting to sign back in. I wasn't sure if this would work, but I was willing to try anything at this point.


To my relief, this simple solution worked! By signing out of my Apple ID and then signing back in, I was able to refresh my iCloud account and successfully log in. It was a huge relief to finally have access to my iCloud account again.

If you're struggling with a similar login issue, I would definitely recommend giving this solution a try. Sometimes a simple reset can do wonders. And if you're still having trouble, don't hesitate to reach out to Apple Support for further assistance.

Hi all,


I previously found a temporary fix where you clear icloud.com & apple.com website data (cookies etc.) from your browser.


I seem to have found another fix that worked for me, if you do manage to log into icloud.com at all, then click you icon in the top right corner, go to icloud settings, then click sign out of all browsers.


Log out, then restart your browser then try again.

I am still in support for this issue. I contacted corporate and they are tackling this issue on their end. We have verified that this is in fact a server side error. Looks like there are variations of this bug, some people are able to fix it with some of these solutions, and other like you and I are stuck in limbo until Apple engineers pinpoint the problem. I will post updates as I receive them. My next call is this Friday.
