iCloud.com logs me out after barely signing in

I sign into icloud.com with my Apple ID and password and I briefly see the Welcome screen and then I'm returned to the sign-in page.

I have tried on iPhone, iPad, and a Galaxy Tablet.

they all sign me in for a split second, then log out back to the sign in page.

Help please.

This is talking about your Apple ID account, not icloud.com.

I never started the process of deleting my Apple ID, nor would I.

Apple ID account is working just fine, just not iCloud.com as stated in original question.

I'm having the same issue. I go to https://www.icloud.com and click on "Sign In", enter my user name and password and enter my 2FA code.

For about 2 seconds I see a "Welcome ape_ape" and I'm then redirected back to https://www.icloud.com and I've been logged out. Clearing cookies doesn't help, using a different browser doesn't help. Using a different computer doesn't help.

I've checked the system status site and everything has a green dot. The system status site is useless. Name a social network and you'll find people complaining about this issue. It's literally blowing up, but all systems are green. What's the point of a system status page that can't tell you your stuff is having problems?

Thankfully logging into community support doesn't suffer from the same issue, otherwise I'd be unable to post this and about ready to throw all my Apple devices into the garbage.

As per this article How to delete your Apple ID account - Apple Support

When your Apple ID account is deleted, your account details and the data associated with your Apple ID are permanently deleted from Apple’s servers. You can't sign in to your account, and you won’t be able to access any data, content, or services that were associated with your Apple ID.

Before you request deletion of your Apple ID

We recommend that you take a few steps before you request deletion of your Apple ID.

  • Back up the data that you store in iCloud—including content for any Apple or third-party apps that store data using iCloud—to a place that doesn’t use your Apple ID for access.
  • Download any DRM-free purchases, iTunes Match tracks that you don’t have copies of, and any other music and media.
  • Review any active subscriptions. When your account is deleted, subscriptions are canceled at the end of their billing cycles.
  • Save copies of any Apple-related information that you currently need or expect to need.
  • Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple ID account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can't sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted.

Note : you have started the process of deleting the account from server , however once again tried to sign in with your Apple ID and password from Mac at www.icloud.com using 2FA , also the signed in devices like iPhone / iPad are not removed .

You have to stop it , by revealing alfa numeric code to apple care senior advisors before 30 days , once the account is recovered , then follow the complete steps in the article to remove the account from server if you wish so .

Hi All,

I had the same issue but found a fix that works for me. I tried logging into icloud.com on Google chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge on a laptop/computer, and it logged me out instantly. But it logged in fine on my iPhones web browser (Safari).

My fix for computer based browsers is to clear your cookies/site data. For Google chrome users, follow these steps:

  1. Click the three dots in the top right corner, then go to 'Settings'
  2. Go to 'Privacy and Security', then 'Cookies and other site data'
  3. Go to 'See all site data and site permissions'
  4. In the top right corner of that page (not the browser, just that page), search 'Apple'
  5. Click the bin icon next to 'apple.com'
  6. Repeat step 4 & 5 but search 'icloud' and click the bin for 'icloud.com'

This fix worked for me, so hopefully it works for you too.

An Apple ID say example1@gmail.com can be created using an iCloud domain , you might not have deleted the account from server .

May be you are not able to sign in from www.icloud.com there could be many reasons , either Mac OS is corrupted , the networking settings are incorrect , see the article also If you can't connect or sign in to iCloud - Apple Support

Take suggestions from apple support .

I was able to solve this issue by deleting all files in iCloud Drive through Settings>iCloud>Manage Account Storage. However, now I am unable to access iCloud Drive. I’ve contacted Apple again and will be receiving a return call from Engineering on Wednesday.

I am curious to know if this is the only issue you all are experiencing. This particular issue is causing a slew of issues for me. Backup can not be enabled. HomeKit is stuck on Loading Accessories and Scenes. Drive, Pages, Numbers, GarageBand, Clips, and Keynote will not synchronize with the cloud.

Apple has since confirmed that this is not a device issue but in fact an Apple ID issue. I would highly suggest calling Apple Support and beginning the process if you are also experiencing this issue.

I think enabling Advanced Data Protection encrypts Drive and when it is disabled it fails to send the keys to decrypt the files server side.

No, none of my devices have been corrupted.

I have tried iPhone, iPad, and even tried on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. They all do exactly the same thing.

I called Apple support and the person was very nice and tried for over 2 hours to fix it. I even let him get inside my iPad and even he couldn’t make it work.

I had to go to work that day, so he told me to call back when I could, but I have not.

They know they have a problem.

I just wanted to let others know and hopefully if they find a solution, they will post it.

I too am having this issue. It began when I upgraded to the 14 Pro… I couldn’t access my iCloud Drive Files and HomeKit is stuck on Loading Accessories and Scenes. Attempted every fix possible. Attempted signing in to iCloud.com on multiple devices/browser to no avail. I have since made it to Tier 2 Support whom forwarded Enhanced Logs, Screenshots, and Screen Recordings to Apple Engineers, which have 30 days to access your device once you consent. I’ll update this thread if I find a fix or after the remaining 25 days.

This worked for me. I was trying to get into my calendar. The calendar link you posted didn't work. Immediately logged out. Then I tried the photos link you gave. It worked. I noticed an orange circle in the top right corner with a white exclamation point. I clicked it and it said my icloud was out of storage space and to upgrade.

Then I clicked on the icon that looks like a dial-pad in the top right corner. Clicked on calendar and it loaded.

I guess icloud needs a certain amount of space in order to load??? I hope not. But I did get in.

Thank you

Same issue here. I have a secondary iCloud account that I just use for junk emails. I could log in but then was bounced back to the iCloud login page. I solved it by adding the iCloud account to my Mail programme. I then had to accept some new terms and conditions. All of the emails appeared in Mail. Then, most importantly, I could go onto Safari and login - this time not being bounced out again. Maybe it is something to do with confirming the new terms and conditions.

Hi

I had the same problem and I figured it out.

Someone mentioned that it might happen because their iCloud is full. This turned out to be true!

My iCloud barely had anything in its drive, but it was very much full with my iPad backups. I deleted that from Settings / iCloud / Manage Storage / Backups

The next second I could log in to iCloud on my PC.

This is an annoying little usability issue, it shouldn't be a problem for Apple to fix it.

Until then I hope the above helps you too

cheers

Same thing happened to me after I changed my AppleID password, I could not log into iCloud, but could get into the iCloud.com/photos, iCloud.com/mail etc... Note, this is not my primary AppleID. After a couple of hours of looking for a solution (y'all know how it is:) ),I found something someone els wrote and it worked!

I had to delete my internet account for this id and then add it back. When I added it back, i had to agree to the terms and conditions; then I was able to login into iCloud no problem. A couple of things to note, I removed and re-added the AppleID from my macbook (it should work on phone or ipad too, at least one would think), also when I added the AppleID back, the "logging in" message kept showing. After a couple of minutes, I did a Force Quit (command-option-escape) to close the system settings. Hopes this helps and saves some time.

iCloud.com logs me out after barely signing in
