Stuck on Terms and Conditions at set-up?

I found out that if this happens during set-up DO NOT login to your apple account… skip that part hit the next arrow and then it’ll let you accept terms and conditions then you can complete set-up. Once you’re at the home page go to settings and then login to your apple account! It took me a moment but I figured it out hope it helps, good luck guys!

For those of you trying to set up an apple watch for a family member - I followed these instructions and it finally worked.

Needwatch’s Profile - Apple Community Ok, so we had the family member sign in on a different apple ios device, was asked to accept the icloud terms and conditions but was able to accept and login (previously we had just attempted to login on a browser and a pc). Then restarted phone and watch and tried again. Voila' worked."

I spent 3 hours on the phone with Apple support, 3 hours in the AT&T store and finally went to the Apple store. The Apple store sent the watch for repairs because they couldn't set up the watch for a family member either. I received the "repaired" watch yesterday and it was still getting stuck in the terms and conditions stage of setting up the Apple watch for a family member. The watch would set up fine if I was setting it up for myself but would not set up for a family member. I followed Needwatch's instructions and used my son's apple ID to login to an iPad. I was able to login to the iPad. Once that worked, I powered off my phone and the watch. After rebooting, I successfully set up the watch. I can't believe Apple isn't aware of this software issue, which is what it is. This has been a very frustrating experience but I'm thankful the the Community support board figuring out the answer and sharing it!

I just want to mention that the skip button is very small light and hard to see but it’s up above the rectangular box in the middle. It’s hard to explain I wish I could have taken a pic but I finally seen it and that’s when I was able to skip that part and proceed. I didn’t talk with apple support I just did this part on my own but you will have to call apple support if this doesn’t work for you.

Absolutely RIDICULOUS that you can’t accept apple terms and conditions. Never had this problem on PC . Now I’m thinking of going back if someone is not smart enough to make sure this doesn’t happen . No excuse for being this incompetent !!! SHAME ON YOU APPLE !!! Ok actually stumbled on a way to avoid it . Go back to set up and choose

“SKIP , SET UP LATER” . What a Joke

@Kallandie - I'm sorry. I know the frustration. I just made an appointment to exchange my watch. I went to the AT&T store today and they couldn't get past the terms and conditions screen either. We even tried on 2 different iphones (an 8 and 13) with no success. I still haven't heard back from Apple support. The girl helping me said she still hasn't heard back from engineering after sending them several diagnostic files and videos of my phone.

I decided to exchange the watch -hoping it is defective. If the exchange doesn't work, I'll go to the Apple store.

Good Luck!
