Stuck on Terms and Conditions at set-up?

I found out that if this happens during set-up DO NOT login to your apple account… skip that part hit the next arrow and then it’ll let you accept terms and conditions then you can complete set-up. Once you’re at the home page go to settings and then login to your apple account! It took me a moment but I figured it out hope it helps, good luck guys!

For those of you trying to set up an apple watch for a family member - I followed these instructions and it finally worked.

Needwatch’s Profile - Apple Community Ok, so we had the family member sign in on a different apple ios device, was asked to accept the icloud terms and conditions but was able to accept and login (previously we had just attempted to login on a browser and a pc). Then restarted phone and watch and tried again. Voila' worked."

I spent 3 hours on the phone with Apple support, 3 hours in the AT&T store and finally went to the Apple store. The Apple store sent the watch for repairs because they couldn't set up the watch for a family member either. I received the "repaired" watch yesterday and it was still getting stuck in the terms and conditions stage of setting up the Apple watch for a family member. The watch would set up fine if I was setting it up for myself but would not set up for a family member. I followed Needwatch's instructions and used my son's apple ID to login to an iPad. I was able to login to the iPad. Once that worked, I powered off my phone and the watch. After rebooting, I successfully set up the watch. I can't believe Apple isn't aware of this software issue, which is what it is. This has been a very frustrating experience but I'm thankful the the Community support board figuring out the answer and sharing it!

I'm trying to set up an apple watch for my 13 year old and it will not let me skip logging into his icloud account. When I try to login I get authentication error 7005. I've reset the brand new watch to factory defaults 3 times and I still cannot get past the terms and conditions. This is extremely frustrating. I've already contacted Apple support and went through all of the steps they suggested, which didn't work. Any suggestions?

It took me hours. Was I the first person this ever happened? Of course not! Many thanks to Apple community - Mac Users.

My MBP15 early 2008 wouldn't switch off when chosen to restart, after patching up. Hard shutting down worked.

Keyboard is not illuminating, but I know by heart where is which key, after decades of use. As a matter of fact, for the past few years, this machine was picking up dust on a bookshelf, as obsolete.

I cannot thank enough fellow Mac User from Barcelona, for pointing out this possibility, and another from Herceg Novi, for handing me a Pendrive, which made a meaningful OS X possible.

Investment in Mac / Apple has proven worth every penny, countless times, and again. I am thrilled!

After obtaining, from the same two users, confirmation regarding Apple Silicon being a game changer, I will get hands on one as well.

They seem pricy, but when I got this machine, it's pricetag was 2.500€, back in 2008. And it seems to work better then ever, with SSD and Catalina.

Cheers!
