Airplay runs smooth on older and weaker macbook air but laggy on macbook pro M1 Max 32gb

Hi all,

I would like to watch some content on my smart tv from my macbook and for my surprise it's laggy in my recent bought macbook pro which is way more powerful than my macbook air (year 2017)

The macbook air (weaker) runs/streams smoothly in the smart tv

The macbook pro (stronger) runs/stream way laggy

I have no idea of the problem, because they are in the same wifi network

Do you guys have any idea?

Hi leandro_f_smart,

If you haven't already, resetting the MacBook Pro and the connection to it can iron out issues like this even if other devices are working fine on the same network:

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings.

2. Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar.

3. Click Details next to the network you're using.

4. Click Forget This Network, then click Remove to confirm.

To aid us in isolating this issue can you confirm the following?

What version of macOS is on each device?
Are both devices in the same relative location? The same room for example?

Let us know and we'll continue based off those details.
