Yea, connect your Time Machine backup External Hard Disk to the new Mac and run Migration Assistant which is pre installed on the new Mac. Never ever use Wi-Fi to migrate, it fails about 100% of the time. If you need further help please call AppleCare!!!
if you do not have a Time Machine backup of the old Mac create one ASAP.
It worked like a charm. Finished in less than two hours with no data dropped. Thanks for the guidance and help.
As mentioned in above article, you cannot use an usb cord when using migration assistant
